Session Abstract:
Connecting plant machinery across multiple locations as a single fabric presents security and networking connectivity challenges, and we present an option to reduce attack surfaces, reduce networking requirements and empower system designers and operators with capabilities found in public cloud systems, enabling rapid innovation. Whether you’re in industrial manufacturing, power distribution or controlling train track switchovers, it is advantageous to pull data as near to real time as possible, distributing it to decision making processes without adding any further load to the points of control such as the underlying PLCs.
