Eystein Måløy Stenberg

Eystein Stenberg is the CTO of NorthernTech, a leader in device lifecycle management, and the creator of Mender, the market-leading solution for robust, secure, and customizable over-the-air (OTA) software updates. With over 15 years of experience in security and systems management, Stenberg has served on the frontlines of some of the largest production environments and possesses in-depth knowledge on solving real-world system security challenges. An expert in embedded system security and IoT device management, Stenberg routinely shares his insights at industry technology conferences, including Embedded World, Embedded Linux Conference, Internet of Things World, Embedded Systems Conference, and other sector-focused events like automotive. He also leads efforts with key AI partners and customers, such as NVIDIA for enabling device management of physical AI systems. Stengberg is routinely featured in industry publications, including Embedded.com, Cyber Defense Magazine, InfoSecurity Watch, and Embedded Computing Design. In addition to his speaking engagements, interviews, and podcast appearances, Stenberg’s authorship includes “Distributing a Private Key Generator in Ad Hoc Networks” and publications in the Linux Journal. Stenberg holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a focus on cryptography from the University of Tromsø, Norway.
