Sulaiman H. Sulaiman is an accomplished Chief Information Officer and a leader with over 15 years of experience in creating and implementing information technology strategies, structuring and building effective teams to support today’s fast changing healthcare environment. He is an entrepreneur, innovative and passionate leader, continually challenging the status quo, developing and driving disruptive solutions to improve quality, efficiency and the patient- provider-consumer experience. Sulaiman most recently served as Senior VP and Chief Information Officer at Mission Health System (Ranked one of the nation’s “Top 15 Health Systems” by Truven Health Analytics), where he led a redesign and rebuild of the IT Division to incorporate IT into the highest strategic levels of the organization. He introduced and led the “One Patient, One Chart” vision to integrate the health system into a single patient and provider platform. Implemented a robust analytics, cyber-security and project management programs to support better quality and more efficient care across the system. Sulaiman’s prior position was Chief Information Officer with Cleveland Clinic International services leading a complete revamp and technology transformation at Skeikh Kalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He previously held several leadership positions in information technology within the Cleveland Clinic in the United States. Sulaiman earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree at Cleveland State University. He holds a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP and ITCPM). He is a member of the following organizations: Global Healthcare Advisory Board, Global Healthcare Innovation Council (Cisco), Customer Experience Board of Advisors (Cisco), Philips Healthcare Connected Sensing Board Member (Philips Helathcare), North Carolina HIMSS Board of Directors, and a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Formerly served: Cerner Client Care Council – Cerner Corporation (2009-2015), HIMSS Middle East CIO planning committee (2010-12).
Tom Bianculli serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Zebra Technologies. In this role, Bianculli is responsible for the exploration of emerging opportunities, coordinating with product teams on advanced product development and Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives. The Chief Technology Office is comprised of engineering, business, customer research and design functions. Bianculli started in the industry with Symbol Technologies, Inc. (later acquired by Motorola) in 1994 as part of the data capture solutions business. In the following years, Bianculli held positions of increased responsibility including architectural and director of engineering roles. As larger investments were made in the emerging imaging data capture product category, Bianculli provided technical leadership for the business in that area and co-led the development of the company’s first imager-based two-dimensional handheld data capture product while on assignment in Japan. Bianculli went on to form the Emerging Business Office (EBO) at Motorola to explore new opportunities adjacent to the core businesses. Since Zebra Technologies’ acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise Business in 2014, Bianculli’s team has been focused on executing on initiatives that advance the company’s Enterprise Asset Intelligence strategy by delivering data-driven product offerings in this emerging category. Bianculli has been granted over 20 U.S. patents and is a Zebra Distinguished Innovator and Science Advisory Board Associate. Bianculli holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University, NYU. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the School of Engineering for the New York Institute of Technology.
John Gresham Vice President & GM, DeviceWorks at Cerner Corporation. John Gresham focused on Cerner’s integrated solutions and technologies business units. This responsibility includes business, financial, and product strategies world-wide for Cerner’s technology resale business, integrated solutions portfolio, and managed services business development. The DeviceWorks integrated solution portfolio includes Cerner’s CareAware device connectivity and workflow solutions, communications, network and security, telehealth, clinical imaging, workforce and capacity management, and mobility solutions. He makes an impact on Cerner/clients by improving safety and efficiency of existing clinical workflows as well as transforming current care deliver models through emerging technologies and innovation. Leadership experience – John joined Cerner in 1999 as a Systems Engineer. He has held roles within engineering, consulting, support, business development, and technologies organizations, Notable positions include Vice President of DeviceWorks Business Development and Technologies, Sr. Director responsible for Cerner’s Advanced Technologies Group (ATG), Director of Cerner’s Technology Consulting organization consisting of 400+ associates. Accomplishments – During his time at Cerner, John drove the creation of Cerner’s CareAware Connect strategy which brought together EMR workflows, secure communications, device connectivity, and alarm management to a single smartphone form factor. John also played a key leadership role in the creation of Cerner’s Smart Room innovations which utilize location based technologies and device connectivity to automate the acute care environment. Through these efforts John has driven strategic partnerships with Nuance, Apple, Qualcomm and other key partners that have helped Cerner’s clients drive down the cost of care and increase physician productivity. Additionally, John has driven Cerner’s corporate organizational strategies around Cloud solution initiatives and open app ecosystem business programs. John is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and has a Bachelor of Management & Management Information Systems.
Grace Soyao is an Entrepreneur, Strategist and has significant experience in Patient Behavior Analytics and Intelligence. Her corporate experience and her entrepreneurial spirit are fertile grounds for her passion to discover, create, solve problems and grow businesses and build shareholder value. Her leadership and over 20 years of corporate experience are significant pillars to the success and innovative transformation of Self Care Catalysts Inc., a patient informatics, analytics and solutions company. Grace is the Founder and CEO of Self Care Catalysts, a patient informatics, intelligence and solutions company. Successfully pivoted from a patient research organization to a Healthcare IT company in late 2013 with a very specific mission to shift the power to patients through data and intelligence. Leveraged 20+ commercial marketing, strategy, patient research experience from consumer packaged goods, consumer healthcare and pharmaceuticals to build a new self care and patient behaviour analytics platform to enable patients and health consumers to drive their health future through behavior data and intelligence. Currently building and growing a team of technologists, healthcare informatics and data scientists to enable patients to finally have a voice and be their own advocates in medical decision-making and healthcare innovation.
