IoT’s answers for healthcare’s fundamental challenges
IoT can dramatically influence the world, and the groundwork has already been laid in the core systems of reality. Jeff Schmitz will take a closer look at how IoT can and will positively impact healthcare in the areas of safety, costs and quality while helping maximize caregivers’ time and maintaining the important human element needed in patient care.
Jeff Schmitz became senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Zebra in February 2016. Mr. Schmitz most recently served as executive vice president for multiple business units and sales at Spirent Communications where he had previously also held several senior leadership roles including chief marketing officer and vice president of networks & applications. Prior to joining Spirent, Mr. Schmitz held senior marketing positions at Rivulet Communications, Visual Networks and Tellabs Inc. Mr. Schmitz holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and a Master of Science degree in computer science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
The function of the IoT Community, is to focus on the adoption & application of IoT in commercial environments, seeking to understand & contribute to applying the technology or overcoming the wide variety of barriers, inhibitors, and technical & operational issues. As a member of the board, Jeff Schmitz will provide impartial input and guidance to the overall vision, strategy and execution that is helping to shape the current and future direction for the IoT Community, as well as the broader IoT industry.
