Intelligent Manufacturing CoE Panel – Why We Are Not Seeing Full Scale Rollouts of Industry 4.0 Solutions?

Intelligent Manufacturing CoE Panel – Why We Are Not Seeing Full Scale Rollouts of Industry 4.0 Solutions?

Session Abstract:

According to a research project commissioned by SoftServe where over 400 manufacturers were interviewed, the top manufacturing priority was physically upgrading manufacturing technology to connect with IT infrastructure – this is the ultimate OT/IT convergence challenge. The data also cites the drivers for change are to focus on improving cost and resource efficiencies, optimizing energy management and optimizing equipment performance. The benefits are clearly seen but we as an industry are struggling to fully breakthrough to achieve the promised results of Industry 4.0. This panel will discuss those challenges in more detail along with suggestions on how to move forward so we may be able to leverage Industrial IoT so Industry 4.0 solutions can help our collective manufacturing segments.

Speakers:

Guy Merritt is an experienced C-suite executive, Guy has 35 years engineering leadership advising and developing IoT solutions, native cloud-based systems, products and engineering & manufacturing test solutions for a wide variety of industries. He is an author of the award-winning book “Proactive Risk Management: Controlling Uncertainty in Product Development.”
