Speakers:

Dr Rowland Illing is the Chief Medical Officer and Director of International Government Health for Amazon Web Services (AWS). He has responsibility for public sector healthcare strategy and operations for AWS internationally, excluding the US & China. This encompasses healthcare service delivery, research and genomics. He is passionate about the delivery of person-centred care, increasing access and improving outcomes at a lower cost by accelerating the digitization and utilization of healthcare data. Rowland is an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London, who trained in both Cambridge and Oxford Universities. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and Senior Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management in the UK. He continues to present and publish on topics including digital healthcare and AI, is a member of the Digital Health Roster of Experts for the WHO and member of the European AI Alliance for the European Commission.

Chris Sullivan is the Global Healthcare Practice Lead for Zebra Technologies. With an acute understanding of the needs of patients and their caregivers coupled with robust technical knowledge of healthcare operations, Chris balances the personal and professional needs of the industry to create an inspirational point of view on healthcare technology. He is an advocate for the role technology plays in improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care, and for the value of learning from best practices from around the world to improve healthcare globally.

Mary Jagim brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience. Mary serves as the clinical leader for Infinite Leap, a consulting group specializing in real time technologies. Having implemented approximately 100 real time location system projects in the last 7 years, Mary is one of the most experienced clinical leaders and implementers in Healthcare RTLS. She is also a Lean Certified Green Belt. Mary also has an extensive background in emergency care, management, operations, planning, program development and implementation, group facilitation, emergency preparedness and public policy. She is well versed in current issues impacting healthcare. Her clinical experiences include long term care, emergency nursing, and nine years as manager of MeritCare Health System’s Emergency Center, a level II Trauma Center with over 45,000 annual visits located in Fargo, ND. Mary has also consulted with hospitals on emergency preparedness planning, emergency department operations, work flow and staffing. In 2001, Mary served as the national president of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and led the development of ENA’s Key Concepts in ED Management Course and Guidelines in Emergency Department Staffing Tool. She was also a member of the Institute of Medicine Study on the Future of Emergency Care and the National Quality Forum ED Consensus Standards Committee as well as the leader of a People to People emergency nursing delegation to China. Mary is an accomplished teacher, presenter, and author. Mary received her BS in Nursing from the University of North Dakota and her Masters in Nursing Education at North Dakota State University. Dr. Shayan Vyas is an executive leader, practicing intensivist and has practiced telehealth over 10 years (with >10K telehealth visits). He serves as VP Medical Director on Teladoc Health’s Hospital and Health Systems division. Prior to joining Teladoc Health, Dr. Vyas worked with multiple digital health vendors, including electronic medical records companies, medical devices, SaaS, and patient engagement companies. He also started the first PEDIATRIC multi-STATE MULTI-hospital telehealth program in the US.
