Building blocks for modern digital operations

Sessions Abstract:

Organizations see the value of collecting a wealth of data from their operations. They can utilize it in a variety of ways. By analyzing such data, they can perform predictive maintenance of their machinery, send commands in real-time in response to correct malfunctions, and build digital twins to simulate and improve processes.

To be able to access the needed data, transmit it to the cloud, and act in real-time, organizations must have robust high-speed connectivity to the critical equipment and systems. Beyond this connectivity, the network must also provide the necessary security both within the operations domain and through the enterprise as traffic traverses it to and from the cloud. The network must also remove any bottlenecks to performance, detect and help fix any errors, facilitate in scaling operations, and be agile to accommodate changes quickly.

In this session, we will dissect these networking requirements, and discuss:

  • Why visibility into connected assets is an essential pre-req for securing them
  • The role of an intelligent management system that not only manages the network but is also essential for cloud applications
  • How operations can benefit from the experiences of the enterprise network and leverage the same management, security policies, and tools
