A Sustainable Future with IoT
Session Abstract:
The world has faced both the positive and negative effects of technological advancements – witnessing a depletion of natural resources with an ever-increased carbon footprint.
At such a time, IoT is one technology that can help achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. Go green initiatives are the steps to achieve business sustainability to reduce environmental impact in day-to-day business operations. Electric vehicles make up the sustainable future to reduce carbon emissions from transportation, the largest single source of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. IoT helps to connect and manage EV charging infrastructure with better preventive care due to easy diagnosis of issues.
Visualizing energy usage can help control energy usage.
An industrial IoT network can help to capture data, deliver insights, and automate manual processes with real-time notifications. IoT enables real-time remote access to the systems without deploying field personnel to the site to address potential issues. This helps to scale the business to remote locations and helps customers optimize their energy usage.
Careful planning in the design phase of products can also lead to reduced power consumption in the long run. One such example is products with environmental ruggedness that have low energy usage owing to their functionality to perform well in a wide range of temperatures. Manufacturing plants, if made intelligent, can better manage energy, waste, and materials, achieving re-cycling and regulatory compliance.
The goal of this session is to highlight the use of technology and ways to lower the environmental impact of products through design and IoT.
Join the session, this IoT Day Slam’23, to understand the highly secure, scalable, and easy-to-manage solutions with a focus on industries leveraging IoT to benefit the planet.
