Enhancing Airline Passenger via the Digital Airport

Airline industry can improve the passenger experience via the use of IoT and Digitization of the airport. In this session, we will look at IoT scenarios at airports where the airline passengers meet with the airlines. These solutions will driver operating efficiency and try to reduce the bottlenecks in the airports. IATA (International Air Transport Association) regulates the airline industry and Res 753 targets to improve the airline baggage mishandling, with the goal of No Bag Left Behind! An IoT solution to such a business problem, converts bag and ground handling equipment to millions of IoT nodes and requires a re-look on security. Tracking other mobile assets, in the airport setting, can improve guided navigation for passenger. IoT can help to get the right resources, at right place at right time, to keep the aircraft on time for the turn around at the gates. This virtual presentation, will allow airlines, airports and passengers get a good grasp on how IoT will enhance their experience and efficiency in the coming years.

His expertise is in Industrial Internet Platforms, Big Data and Analytics. He is a regular speaker in large technology events, He Chairs Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC’s) Interoperability and IT-OT Task Groups. He has an MBA, MS (Computer Science) from FAU, Boca Raton, FL and B. Tech from IIT Kanpur, India.
