Panel – Before You Restart Your Buildings: 3 Things You Must Do, and One Thing You Must Not Do

Abstract:

Recently we have started to see a return to our building’s and the “New Normal.” In this new world, building’s environments will be shaped by social distancing, air quality requirements, new cleaning protocols, occupancy sensing and numerous other post-pandemic modifications. Building owners and operators need to secure the occupants trust that they have done everything to ensure a safe return to their building, office, store, restaurant, school, and others. Join our panel of Smart Building experts as they outline 3 key things that building owners and operators must do immediately to gain the trust of their occupants and how IoT, AI, and data solutions contribute to each of these. We will also look at the one thing not to do. Our discussion will cover such topics as: Air quality standards & education, drinking water quality, lighting controls, extreme weather, noise, and other impactful areas. Information, education, action, communication, impactful, and consistency are all key ingredients of what to do, so join Harry Smeenk (Tapa Inc), Matthew Faust (AREP), Kerry Shih (Ripl), and James Caton (SaS) as they explore the “To Do’s and Not To Do’s” during this panel discussion.
