Dr. Sarah Cooper is General Manager IoT Solutions at Amazon AWS. Sarah is also the Vice Chair of the Internet of Things Community and a 2015 Silicon Valley Woman of Influence, a recognized Top 100 Wireless Technology Expert by Wireless World, one of Connected World’s Women of M2M, inventor, multidisciplinary entrepreneur, inventor of an IoT medical battery that runs on body temperature and a PhD in Physics from University of Sydney.
Kerrie Holley joined Optum as their first Technical Fellow because of the opportunity and challenge for to contribute to UHG’s mission to help people live healthier lives and make health care work better. At Optum, Kerrie is focused on advancing UHG in several strategic imperatives: Artificial Intelligence with a focus on machine learning and deep learning, IoT, Genomics, Blockchain and Cybersecurity. Kerrie leads the Optum’s Fellow and Distinguished Engineer program. Previously as VP and CTO of Cisco’s Analytics and Automation Platform, Kerrie’s unwavering passion for learning new technologies and ability to reimagine products into solutions to bring greater customer value is why Cisco asked him to join to mature an analytics portfolio focused on machine learning and streaming analytics. Kerrie joined IBM as an IT Architect and achieved the company’s highest technical distinctions, IBM Fellow, Master Inventor, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Member of the IBM Academy of Technology. Some of his most rewarding assignments involved chaotic, high-pressure customer situations, wicked technical problems, where his calm temperament, technical prowess brought a team to agreement, provided a viable technical solution and a clear path forward to business outcomes that matter. He is fond of appearing on ABC News and a TED talk to discuss IBM’s Watson the day after its historic debut on Jeopardy! He is most proud of his work advancing IBM in SOA and his numerous technology projects, many first of a kind, creating customer products.
Jeff Schmitz became senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Zebra in February 2016. Mr. Schmitz most recently served as executive vice president for multiple business units and sales at Spirent Communications where he had previously also held several senior leadership roles including chief marketing officer and vice president of networks & applications. Prior to joining Spirent, Mr. Schmitz held senior marketing positions at Rivulet Communications, Visual Networks and Tellabs Inc. Mr. Schmitz holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and a Master of Science degree in computer science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
